Homeowners , Renters & Business' Take A Beating From Business Un-Friendly Imperial Beach ! Chamber Impotent! BIG FINES !

"Just because I called you a Fat Pig doesn't mean you have to persecute me forever? Does it?"  http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/2010/jul/30/debris-front-yard-draws-11450-penalties-costs/

That's what one Imperial Beach property owner stated to David Gacias in front of the City Council and citizens who observed last Wednesday night's council meeting 7_21_10.  Three more residents got the  "TREATMENT" and heavy fines Wednesday night over alleged weeds and debris on private property. Citizens complain that the enforcement is selective and that there are mulitiple properties with the same or worse conditions who don't even get a citation. Garcias claims that enforcement is complaint driven, however the city refuses to give information as to the origin of code compliance complaints. That makes it as secret as an undercover police investigation, but you'll never have your Constitutional Right of facing your accuser. You might just have accidently pissed someone off at City Hall? Now you're going to pay for it!
WE DO BUSINESS BETTER IN IB....BULLSHIT.....WE'RE GOING TO STREAMLINE THE PROCESS JIM JANNEY.....YEA...BEND OVER.....HERE'S YOUR IMPERIAL BEACH VASOLINE!
The discount store that moved into 710 Seacoast Drive to fill the vacancy created when the City had the goon squads get rid of the bong store called "Up In Smoke" has apparently decided Imperial Beach is just not business friendly and is closing his doors in IB and re-locating to Chula Vista.
Rose Talya, a previous owner of Seacoast Pizza, has apparently stepped forward to save the business rather than the current owner just shutting the door.
MZM Bistro has shut its door for the last time. The bank owned property is apparently in escrow to be purchased.
The Sam's Happy Chef at 710 Seacoast has transferrred owner ship in May or June as well. The property owner has taken over day to day operations , but the recent cool weather and the lack of a viable hotel have hurt everyone on Seacoast.
The Wave's business has declined with the hotel closed this summer.
Ye Olde Plank Inn was once home of the "BEST BREAKFAST IN SAN DIEGO" according to the San Diego Reader.
That was before a guy named David Gacias ruined that for everyone.
Street vendors is the last thing Imperial Beach needs now. Where will they put their trash? Who's restrooms will they and their customers use? Who's class A kitchen will the food be prepared in?
What's going on at the beach? I thought Mayor Janney was going to make the process easier? He and the entire Council don't have a clue how to spur economic development. They are all idiots....the Mayor,,,,the rest of the Council members and the staff. They all need to be shown the door!  November is your chance to show them the way out!
