IMPERIAL BEACH CITIZEN BANNED FROM TAKING PHOTOS OF ELECTION MATERIAL AT IB
CITY HALL   ???

Thursday a resident of Imperial Beach attempted to take a photo of the list
of candidates for City Council  of Imperial Beach.

This is the account:

"I just snuck some pictures and got chased out!"

(Can you believe that?    Photographing Public Records is not permitted in City Hall!)

According to Jacqueline Hald, IB City Clerk, "I was not aware of this
situation.  I will look into the matter and get back to you."

Any attempt to  abridge the rights of American Citizens to have access to
Public Records regarding a Public Election ...violates the United States
Constitution.

IT'S CENSORSHIP AND NOTHING LESS !

_____________________________________________________________

According to the ROV, the documents desired are the candidate lists which I
have attached to this e-mail message.
I appreciate your inquiry and will conduct an investigation on this matter.

Jacque

GOOGLE THE CANDIDATES AND YOU WILL FIND THE FOLLOWING: (To be continued)

Google James  Janney

Campaign Manager for Jim Janney is Bill Kowabunga Medlock. It was just a few short years ago Medlock ran for Council and was soundly trashed by Michael Carey and the IBCC newspaper, Noreen Sullivan and the Flying Monkeys.

Mike Bibbey                   NO GOOGLE RECOGNITION ____photo here?_________

Works at a grocery store and involved with Bibbey's Shell Shop.  Mike Bibbey was unable to complete a candidate's statement in time for publication.

Perhaps a candidate for Mayor needs to be able to compose prose and meet deadlines from time to time?

Mike has refused repeated attempts to submit materials, thoughts or opinions to SaveIB.com for well over a year. With four candidates running, Bibbey running will only assure victory for Jim Janney. The field has to narrow in order to defeat the status quo.

Why beat yourself up Mike? Just drop out now and encourage your  few followers to support someone who has a chance to defeat Janney.....and serve the City as a professional and honest broker and representative. You could serve your city better in some other capacity than Mayor. (Ed)

Jack Fisher

Executive Chef, Jack Fisher Confections

Jack's cooking career started at the early age of 14. After spending 10 years in various positions on the savory side of things he found himself in the pastry kitchen at the San Diego Sheraton working with Executive Pastry Chef, Randy Mikulas. It was Mikulas who showed Jack the basics of pastry and much more. Jack spent three years getting his "feet wet" then moved jobs and wound up at Loews Coronado working as the pastry chef for the very popular Azzura Point, lead by Executive Chef James Boyce. "Shortly after I got there I realized that I was in over my head, but I was determined to make it. Chef Boyce is really demanding, but he taught me some of the most important lessons on understanding the harmony that should exist between savory and pastry." After Boyce's departure, Jack worked side by side with new Azzura Point Chef de Cuisine Micheal Stebner, a Boyce protégé. They worked together for the next five years. During that time Jack followed Chef Stebner to 910 and opened Region Restaurant in Hillcrest, where Stebner was the owner. Following his departure from Region, Jack spent three months with Executive Pastry Chef Richard Ruskell at the five-star Montage Resort in Laguna Beach. This was followed by a return to 910 under the watchful eye of Executive Chef Jason Knibb, who Jack cites as opening his eyes to a whole new style of plating. In February of 2007, Jack was hired by Executive Chef Tony DiSalvo to run the pastry department at Jack's La Jolla

Jennifer Welsh

Jennifer Welsh  was not afraid to send her materials to SaveIB.com  and she's not afraid to challenge incumbent Mayor Jim Janney  either ! This election season looks like it may have many surprises and twists !

  www.facebook.com/jinkswelsh

Jennifer  says she really didn't want to run for Mayor, but under the circumstances she see's no choice and feels it is her civic duty.

Nobody can say she's un-American as her ancestors can be traced back to the Mayflower. Jennifer is married, a mother and business owner and active in the community.

She is a strong believer in the Constitution and that elected leaders only obligation is to uphold  that Constitution and the Municipal Code.

She believes that many things that are going on in this city are wrong and need to be changed and that this time voters must do the right thing and be heard. We appreciate the interview and look forward to posting Jennifer and other Candidates campaign information.

Jennifer frequently attends the Sunset Meetings at Dahlia Street End if you would like to meet her.

  Tim O'Neal

Tim O'Neal's Candidate Statement:

I LOVE IMPERIAL BEACH!

The City of Imperial Beach has been my home since 1973. I cherish IB's small-town atmosphere and I'm committed to protecting the charm and values of OUR city.

I'm an advocate for public safety, small business, and the youth of Imperial Beach. I also know first hand how important it is to protect our enviornment, especially OUR ocean and beaches.

My experience in sales and marketing, coupled with 37 years of living in IB, can provide a fresh perspective in attracting and maintaining a thriving business community. Support of local businesses and responsible investing of redevelopment dollars is a must.

I believe in government transparency and vow to be a voice for ALL citizens of Imperial Beach. I intend to set an unprecedented level of accessibilty, and by pro-actively seeking community input, I believe I can help strengthen IB's sense of community.

Together, can we make the city of Imperial Beach the jewel of the South Bay?...ABSOLUTELY!

Thank you for your vote.

We're  going to speculate a guess that Paul will get the DSA endorsement ?

vs.

GOOGLE  Brian Patrick  Bilbray

 http://www.10news.com/news/24572133/detail.html

Patrick spoke with us about his plans to run for Mayor and feels that he can do as good a job as anyone there now.

He plans to reach out to younger voters and dis-affected voters. Probably the most liberal Republican you will ever meet!

He may be young, but he's smart and already has a little political experience for obvious reasons. He will certainly spice up the campaign season with his name recognition and sharp wits !

POLITICAL ENDORSEMENTS 101

This PAC endorsed candidates 4 years ago, before all candidates had filed their papers !

Oh that's fair and objective ?

USED HER POSTION AS MAYOR TO ENDORSE ANOTHER CANDIDATE FOR MAYOR !  ILLEGAL UNDER CALIFORNIA LAW!

AND YOU THOUGHT CITY STAFF WORKED FOR YOU THE CITIZENS?

Who cares what Supervisor Cox wants ?

That's  a big part of what's wrong in I.B.  !

Too much outside influence from regional agencies and officials is why the citizens are not being heard at City Hall.

They have their own agenda....and it doesn't include what you the citizens want.

It includes what their favored developers  and consultants want!

Now that the candidates have filed their papers, the endorsments of various political interests will start to be heard.

Please ask yourself what interest these endorsers have for themselves, their positions , or their agencies?

Do they deserve to be a lobby and heard more than individual citizens?

What does their endorsement really mean?

If you want fair representation for a change, ignore the endorsements from DSA, Public Employees Unions, Supervisor Greg Cox and of course Diane Rose !

Let's have a council that represents the people of Imperial Beach for a change; instead of Lobby's, PAC's , Consultants and Developers !

November is the time and place in history we have all been waiting for. This November Imperial Beach residents will be given the opportunity to completely re-shape their municipal governent's representation. 4 of 5 seats will be up for grabs as City Attorney Lough leaves amid turmoil !

Only Councilman Jim King's seat is not up for election this year  .Imperial Beach could have a completely different face going into 2011 !  I'll take 4 out of 5....especially after such an extended run of corruption. Term limits are needed !

What do you think?   SaveIBonline@yahoo.com

Some of these candidates are so unknown that they don't have any Google Images for their names.
