All Agenda Items that begin with # 2 are on the "CONSENT AGENDA"
Unless someone requests discussion or asks questions during "PUBLIC COMMENTS", there will be no discussion! Just an Aye or Nay vote for the entire consent agenda. As you can see....that also includes spending over $679 grand for a two week period...with no checks, balances or discussion. Spending money in this manner is not democratic and should be criminal.................
2.1 $679,456.24 Will be spent without discussion !
2.2 Streetlighting improvment money will be spent (unknown ammount at this writing...you research it)
2.3 A change in the Transient Occupancy Audit Rates.....?HUH?
2.4 Resolution against carryout bags
2.5 Censorship Ruling....a change in the ordinance regarding banner hanging proceedures...fee's and guidelines (CENSORSHIP )

3.1 Tent's- Canopy's at City Parks. The council would rather you folks get sunstroke or sunburned than to allow you to make shade at a public park....without being regulated and having to pay a fee. Maybe these people don't understand what the word PUBLIC in PUBLIC PARKS means? It means it's here for the public to use for free...because we already pay the taxes. Being charged another fee is imoral because citizens are being double charged for something they should have the rights to use for free. How much are they going to charge you to make your own shade? The city likes to cut down trees in parks after they cut the roots off digging sidewalks and they fall over and kill people and they get sued. Therefore....you should not be allowed to bring your shade tent to a city park unless you pay money to the city for it? BULLSHIT!
6.1 KOA CONSULTANTS.....Do you think we are so dumb to think that we need to hire a consultant to put in a crosswalk? I can get the drafting done for free. I will donate the paint for two stripes... I will even donate flashing lights....How much will this new boondoggle cost? ....they way Gary Brown,Greg Wade,Jerry Selby and Hank Levine do it? Hundreds of thousands no doubt?
6.2 REJECT BIDS.....This is what the city does when "Their Guy" doesn't win in a fair competitive bidding process that the law demands. They flip over the chess board and make you start the game all over again. What was wrong with the bids that were submitted for 13th and Emory that they had to do it over again? This is sort of like how they didn't accept the winning bidder for the skatepark construction...and then two weeks later there is a winning bidder.....but there has been no public discussion or process showing how they came to that conclusion?
6.3 COMMERCIAL ZONING REVIEW (TIME SENSITIVE 6:30)
Issues that are time sensitive are usually Staff Issues, Supervisor Cox's Issues....or Michael Carey and the IBCC PAC's issues. In the case of Zoning Review....this 6:30 time has been locked in so that important speakers have an extra half hour to get to the meeting and they also don't have to worry about getting stuck there till 11:00 PM at night for their issue to get brough up.
